Liverpool Destination Services is a brand new company which has brought together a group of individuals with a wealth of collective experience. We are a group of recently qualified Blue Badge Guides (2013) with a background in hotel management, conference organising, educational tourism, marketing and destination operations.
We have won awards for customer service and the quality of our operations. This background gives us a comprehensive understanding of the travel trade in all its facets. It means we already talk your language, understand your objectives and we can put together tours and packages that are exactly right for your customers.
We have come together to develop a professionally run full service destination management company that will deliver high quality experiences and products to the market place. We are genuinely excited about what we are doing and are ready to share with you our passion for the city and what we do.
Keith Blundell – Formerly Liverpool City Council’s Head of Tourism, Keith developed and managed the City of Liverpool Cruise Terminal and won England’s TIC of the year for the 08 Place. He also gained Coach Friendly status for Liverpool and won numerous group travel awards for the city.
John McFerran – John runs a successful independent hotel on the Wirral peninsula, his earlier background is in senior management roles with one of the UK’s best known businesses, Sainsbury’s.
Paul Mullins – Currently a lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University, Paul was instrumental in setting up the Liverpool Convention Bureau and the city’s incentive travel programme. He has organised numerous Educational and study visits all over the UK.
Simone Peter - Simone has a background in marketing and design, she has worked as a guide since 2011 and has guided numerous tours of the city as well as being an accredited guide for Port Sunlight.
